This is an original 1907 halftone print of the Temple of Hera in Olympia, Greece, which was an ancient Doric Greek temple that was destroyed in the 4th century AD by a catastrophic earthquake, leaving only the standing ruins. The temple was dedicated to Hera, the wife of Zeus and one of the most important goddesses in Greek religion. Today, the famous Olympic torch resides in place of the temple.
