This is an original 1907 black and white halftone print of the 15th century bas-relief of Saint George Fighting the Dragon originally carved by Michel Colombe. It now calls the Louvre in Paris home. Colombe didn't have much work survive, but this piece did and is a prime example of the Italian Renaissance style in which he worked. The perspective and composition organization as well as the careful attention to detail and the imaginative style of the dragon are representative of the artist's Gothic style.
