This is an original 1907 halftone print of the interior of a sugar beet farm in Tulare, California. The city was built in 1872 next to a railroad station, and was very prosperous during the time, although unfortunately, it had to be rebuilt 3 times in the first 14 years due to fire. Currently, Ukraine and the European Union are the largest exporters of sugar beets.
