This is a rare original 1908 halftone print of the Long Beach boardwalk in New York and its bungalows and casino; this gathering place comprises two and a half miles of the beach and even offered bathhouses.
The lower half of this print features images of the unveiling of the Statue of Alexander Hamilton at Columbia College, New York, on May 27th. The important people featured in these two Columbia images are President Butler, Trustee Gerard Beekman, Seth Low, Reverend E. B. Cow, J. B. Pine, and H. H. Cammann. This statue was sculpted by William Ordway Partridge.
CONDITION
This 103+ year old Item is rated Very Fine +++. Heavy aging in margins. Moderate wrinkling. No natural defects. Some heavy surface rub. No tears. No water damage. Please note that there is heavy rub from the print on the reverse. Please also note that there are black and white speckles within the images.
