This is an original 1908 halftone print of The Old House by Elizabeth Adela Forbes. Forbes was a Canadian painter who was primarily active in England. She often featured children in her paintings. She was born in Ottawa and was the daughter of William Armstrong who was an employee of the Government of Canada.
