This is an original 1911 black and white print ad for the Brenau College Conservatory, The College of the South for Young Ladies. The institution was first founded in 1878, and was named the Georgia Baptist Female Seminary; however, in 1900, H. J. Pierce purchased the property and renamed it Brenau. In 1911, the school was no longer privately owned and was instead taken up by a board of trustees. In 1928, the institution was altered to be a female, residential college-prep school. In 1992, the word "College" was interchanged with "University" to better reflect what the institute represented.
