This is an original 1911 black and white photogravure of Henry St. John, the 1st Viscount Bolingbroke who was an English politician, government official and political philosopher. He was a leader of the Tories and supported the Church of England even though he was atheist. He also supported the Jacobite Rebellion of 1715 and attempted to overthrow King George I.
