This is an original 1912 black and white halftone print of a portrait of operatic bass Putnam Griswold (1875-1914). Throughout his career, Putnam performed at the Royal Opera in Berlin, Germany and the Metropolitan Opera in New York, NY. He died suddenly of appendicitis in 1914.
