This is an original 1913 tipped-in color print of James Watt. Born in 1736 in the Firth of Clyde, Scotland, he was an inventor who specialized in steam engines and whose legacy lasted throughout the Industrial Revolution and has continued to this day. He also created the concept of horsepower, and the SI watt unit is named after him.
