This is an original 1914 color print of a Still Life by Carl Schuch. Schuch was an Austrian painter who was born in Vienna and spent most of his lifetime outside of Austria, in Germany, Italy and France. He primarily painted still lives and landscapes. In his forties he lived and worked in Paris and was greatly impressed by the work of Claude Monet, whome he described as "the Rembrandt of
plein-air painting".
