This is an original 1915 halftone print featuring an image of the Barge Office at the Battery in New York. The building, which was designed by architects J. Knox Taylor, aided in Ellis Island immigration processing. Between 1897 and 1912, Taylor was the Supervising Architect of the United States Department of the Treasure.
