This is an original 1915 halftone print set (comprised of six halftone prints, five of them in portrait and one in landscape, all single-sided and unattached with no printing on the reverse) of South Side High School of Newark, New Jersey. The prints feature the exterior and interior of the building. The architect for the school was Ernest F. Guilbert, who specialized in the building of east coast schools with his partner, James Oscar Betelle. Please see additional images.

CONDITION

This 96+ year old Item is rated Near Mint / Very Fine+. Light aging in margins. Light wrinkling. No natural defects. Some light surface rub. No tears. No water damage. Please note that this is a six-page halftone print set, each print single-sided, unattached, and accompanying. There is one print in the set that is in landscape-style (Plate XXIV) and it measures at approxmately 12.5' by 9.5'; the other prints are all in portrait-style and measure at approximately 9.5' by 12.5'. Please also note that the landscape-style print (Plate XXIV) has a small waterstain dot in the center far left margin. It can be seen in the digital copy.
