This is an original 1920 color print of the treasure of Charles the Bold (or Charles the Rash or Terrible) (1433-1477) in the hands of his enemies, the Swiss. Charles the Bold was born as Charles Martin and became the Duke of Burgundy. He was married at the age of seven to Catherine, the daughter of Charles VII, King of France.
