This is an original 1920 sepia halftone print which depicts one of the intricate tapestries brought to Aix Catherdal from Canterbury after the English Civil War in the 17th century. There were twenty-six in total, all of which were stolen during the French Revolution but eventually recovered by the Archbishop. Despite all that hard work, nine of them were stolen again in 1977, and have never been found.
