This is an original 1920 halftone print of the gate to Bab-Berdieyinne Mosque in Maknes, Morocco. The name in the caption, "Bab-Mansour" translates to "Gate of the Victorious."

The mosque beyond this gate will not look the same as it would have in 1920. February 19, 2010 brought heavy rains to the region causing the collapse of one a minaret during Friday prayers taking the lives of 41 worshippers. This prompted King Mohammed VI to order an inspection of all minarets in the kingdom and renovations be made to all that were found wanting.

This print of the UNESCO World Heritage site is an excellent piece to add to any collection on the history of Morocco.
