This is an original 1920 halftone print of a Maori Tribesman Attacking a school of whales stranded on the New Zealand Coast. These tribesmen took advantage of these "monsters" and collected oil that was valued at several hundred dollars. It's also stated that if the native people had efficient oil plants, the value of the oil could be valued at over a thousand dollars.
