This is an original 1920 halftone print of a scene overlooking the modern Capital of Morocco Rabat as seen from the Kasbah of the Oudayas. This image is particularly important as this is what the city looked like shortly after the French invasion of 1912. Until that point, the capital of Morocco had been the city of Fes (Fez). Visible from this view atop the Kasbah of Udayas (Oudayas), Chellah, a necropolis which remained as a reminder of the ancient Roman influences.
