This is an original 1920 World War I sepia Rotogravure of a U. S. military ambulance carrying wounded soliders to hopsitals. The tree branches atop the medevacs serve to camouflage the vehicles from enemy German bombers. The second image shows Major General Hanson E. Ely, commander of the 5th Division.
