1921 Ad Southern Pacific Railroad Apache Trail Sunset Route Trains Indian YSC1

This is an original 1921 black and white print ad for The Apache Trail and Sunset Route to California that was operated by the Southern Pacific Railway Lines during the Roaring Twenties era. The ad encourages prospective travelers to "see the marvels of the Apache Trail", that 'blue-clad troopers won from the merciless Apache by tracking [them] down and fighting it out, hand to hand". A tragic testament to the brutality and racism fostered by Manifest Destiny.
