This is an original 1921 halftone print of Palestine: Blue Bonnets over the Border by James McBey. McBey was a self-taught artist and etcher whose prints were highly valued during the later stages of the etching revival in the early 20th century.
This 90+ year old Item is rated Near Mint / Very Fine. Light aging throughout. Light wrinkling. No natural defects. Some light surface rub. No tears. No water damage. Please note that there is print on the reverse. Please also note that there is very light blue ink print on the center left margin.

James McBey (1883-1959)
A self-taught artist and etcher from Scotland's Aberdeenshire, McBey was a banker with a passion for creating. Best known for producing an array of drawings at the Western Front during World War I, his pieces dramatically increased in popularity and price post-WWI. He became as American citizen in 1942, and after his passing the McBey Art Reference Library was established by his wife at the Aberdeen Art Gallery.
