This is an original 1922 sepia rotogravure of Bolshevik demonstrations in Italy. The top image shows seditious literature and Communist propaganda being burned at a square in Milan. The middle image shows the Fascisti in the Villa Borghese of Rome, and the bottom image shows soldiers breaking up a mob in Milan. The caption for the latter image writes, "Cavalry breaking up the mobs and driving the rioters to the Duomo during the disturbances attending the general strike that took place in Milan. All commercial life was brought to a standstill by the strike, and drastic measures were required to suppress disorder."
