This is an original 1922 sepia rotogravure of a painting of General Pershing addressing a meeting at the Madison Square Garden of New York. The caption writes, "[the meeting] was called by the American Legion to answer 'the Horror of the Rhine' meeting which had assembled there two weeks before. Undiluted Americanism was advocated by General Pershing and was received with wild enthusiasm by the many thousands present."
