This is an original 1922 sepia rotogravure of revolutionary guards at the Chancellor's palace in Berlin, Germany (Deutschland). Also shown is a train armored with a heavy gun after the failed Kapp Movement. The caption for the top image writes, "Revolutionary guards at the Chancellor's palace in Berlin. The heavy equipment, which included hand grenades, is an unusual feature in a guard of this kind. The rebellion failed in a few days and the guard retreated with their comrades."
