This is an original 1922 sepia rotogravure of a munition ship explosion in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, which destroyed 3,000 homes. One of the caption writes, "Portion of the waterfront, with wrecked buildings, railway cars and tracks in the foreground. Twelve hundred and twenty-six people were killed and property damage done was estimated at $20,000,000."
