This is an original 1922 sepia rotogravure of a painting titled, "America." The caption writes, "Painting presented by the French government to the American Legion depicting an American soldier with his right arm around a wounded French Poilu, supporting him, while with his left he is warding off the enemy. The painting is by Rene-Mal, the official artist of the French government."
