This is an original 1922 sepia rotogravure of the passion play in Oberammergau, Germany (Deutschland). Shown is Anton Lang, who played the part of Christ. Also shown is a view of the village in Bavaria. The town is famous for its Passion Play, first performed in 1634, and presented once every ten years thereafter.
