This is an original 1922 sepia rotogravure of a section of the largest painting every painted. The caption writes, "Portion of the monster painting of the 'Pantheon de la Guerre,' Paris, portraying the entry of America into the World War. Before the bust of Washington President Wilson is shown standing, holding the declaration of war. Among the figures portrayed are those of Theodore Roosevelt, Secretary Lansing, General Pershing and Admiral Sims. The entire painting portrays the allied leaders and countries that participated in the war, and covers more than 19,000 square feet of canvas. The work was executed under the supervision of the eminent French artists, A. F. Gorguet and P. Carrier-Belleuse, in collaboration with seventeen other noted artists.
