This is an original 1922 sepia rotogravure of Valparaiso, a seaport in Chile; Buenos Aires, Argentina; and a square in Lima, Peru. The caption for the latter writes, "One of the principal squares of Lima, the capital of Peru. The city was founded by Pizarro, after he had wrestled the country from the native rulers. It has a population of 143,500 and is graced with many handsome public and private buildings."
