This is an original 1922 sepia rotogravure of Belgian soldiers with dog carts that carried ammunition. The bottom image depicts the British Marines landing at the Belgian coast in the streets of Oostende (Ostend). The caption for the top image writes, "Belgian infantry with the dog carts that they used to bring up ammunition during the fight that waged in the vicinity of St. Giles, Belgium, in the first month of the World War."
