This is an original 1922 sepia rotogravure of Italian alpine soldiers climbing a rocky cliff. The bottom image shows an attack in the Caporetto district. The caption writes, "The Italians have leaped from their trenches, passed through the barricades and are charging up the hill against the machine gun and artillery fire of the Austrians."
