This is an original 1922 sepia rotogravure of Turkish soldiers during World War I. In the top image, the troop is seen on the march. The caption writes, "Types of the German-trained Turkish infantry. The Turks are excellent military material, and their ability to live on little adds to their value as soldiers. Under German training they were developed into a formidable fighting force."
