This is an original 1922 sepia rotogravure of American soldiers with naval guns, and Company A of the 316th Engineering division in Oudenaarde (Audenarde/Oudenarde), Belgium. The men were guided by Captain Keen. The caption for the first image writes, "Photograph taken in last days of the fighting, showing of the huge American naval guns in vigorous action. The guns had a range of over sixteen miles and were especially effective in shelling the railway line that was the chief artery of the Germany supply system."
