This is an original 1922 sepia rotogravure of ceremonies held for fallen Americans during World War I. The top image shows a ceremony in Central Park, New York. The bottom image shows a public funeral in Brooklyn, New York. The caption writes, "In honor of more than a thousand of American dead who had been brought back by the Cambrai from France. The body of one soldier was selected as symbolic of the others, and flowers in great profusion were heaped about his casket."
