This is an original 1922 sepia rotogravure of a drawing of German soldiers on their way to the front line. The caption writes, "Enemy artillery hurrying through the ruined town of Arras on their way to the Battle of Ypres. Reinforcements had been called for and the urgency of the case is evidenced by the haste of the riders."
