This is an original 1922 sepia rotogravure of King Nicholas receiving loyalty pledges in Montenegro, and of Greek soldiers landing at Thessaloniki, Greece. The caption for the latter writes, "The holding of Saloniki for the Allies as the headquarters for Allied movements in the Balkans was the work of Venizelos, the Greek premier, and was of incalculable aid to the Allied cause."
