This is an original 1922 sepia rotogravure of a French soldier in the Somme sector analyzing enemy lines. The bottom image shows a number of war casualties. The caption for the image writes, "Long rows of wounded soldiers just behind the lines waiting for ambulances to take them to the base hospitals. First aid is being rendered by doctors passing through the lines of wounded."
