This is an original 1923 color print of a couple Alewife (also known as Branch Herring, Blear-Eyed Herring, Wall-eyed Herring, and Gaspereau) of the Pomolobus Pseudoharengus classification swimming beside a Herring of the Clupea Harengus classification, caught mostly in the North Atlantic.
