William Morris Hunt (1824-1879)
William Hunt was a noted American painter who encouraged and led the way for other artists out of Boston, Massachusetts. His work was diverse, and included rich portrait and landscape pieces. Unfortunately, a large amount of his artwork and personal art collection were destroyed during the Great Boston Fire of 1872.
