This is an original 1923 halftone print of Myanmar wood carvings adorning the Shwedagon Zedi Pagoda (Great Dagon/Golden Pagoda) in Yangon (Rangoon), Burma. Wood carvings complimented wooden architecture and depicted Jataka stories and legends as well as illustrated the life of Buddha.
