This is an original 1923 sepia Rotogravure of the upper portion of the Golden Horn in Istanbul, Turkey. The inlet is supposedly named so due to it's shape and color, but historians are unsure. Istanbul is the largest city in Turkey, and the third largest metropolitan center in Europe, after London and Moscow. Photography by E. M. Newman.
