This is an original 1924 color print ad for the Murphy Varnish Company in Newark, New Jersey. This ad features a beautiful image by Charles Kaiser, a Milwaukee, Wisconsin native. Kaiser attended the Layton School of Art, which is now the Milwaukee Institute of Art, as well as the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Kasier also taught at Mount Mary College. He has had his works on display in many watercolor exhibits in Wisconsin and across the United States.
