This is an original 1924 black and white wood engraving of "Types of South African Rhinoceros." In this piece, Dolman represents the types of Rhinoceros he encountered during his travels through southern Africa. Included are the Borheli, Keitloa, Alohohu, and the Quàbàba. The accuracy of Dolman's field observations are uncertain, as there are only five extant Rhinoceros species left in existence, only two of which inhabit southern Africa.
