"Brewster's Hall, N. W. Corner Fifth Avenue and 14th Street, about 1865."

This is an original 1924 color print of Brewster's Hall, on the northwest corner of Fifth Avenue and 14th Street, circa 1865. It was formerly the Halstead House. It later became Midget Hall, and in the 1890's it was occupied by Gregg Furniture Co.

Period Paper is pleased to offer a wonderful collection of historical images of Fifth Avenue, the famous Manhattan thoroughfare in New York City. Published in 1924, on the one hundredth anniversary of the founding of Fifth Avenue, these halftone and color prints capture a New York that sadly, in many cases, no longer exists.
