This is an original 1924 halftone print portrait of comedian Maurice de Féraudy. The caption writes, "The latest among the famous world artists who this season have displayed their virtuosity in New York, the eminent comedian of the Theatre Francais is seen here as the querulous old miser in Moliere's immortal classic." Fछraudy was also an accomplished songwriter, and wrote various songs for Paulette Darty, including "Fascination."
