This is an original 1924 halftone print featuring an illustration of Francis Parkman, an American Historian, by courtesy of Little, Brown and Company, Publishers.

Parkman was an author of The Oregon Trail: Sketches of Prairie and Rockey-Mountain Life & his seven-volume France and England in North America. He was also a Professor of Horticulture at Harvard University and the first leader of the Arnold Arboretum.
