This is an original 1926 halftone print of Battlesbury Camp from two different views. This location is a hillfort that has archaeological finds dating to the Late Bronze and Early Iron Ages. The hillfort is built on a point in the hill that made it easily defensible. Some interesting finds in the hills have consisted of whetstones, the hub of a chariot wheel and sling stones all of which can be dated to the late Iron Age or early Bronze Age.
