This is an original 1926 black and white halftone print of Cyrus Wakefield (1811-1873) who was a manufacturer of rattan furniture and was the founder of the Wakefield Rattan Company. Eventually, this company merged with the Heywood Brothers Company and became the Heywood Brothers & Wakefield Company in 1897. By 1921, it was known as the Heywood-Wakefield Company. Furniture from this company is considered to be very collectible.
