This is an original 1926 halftone print of Sir George Rooke, commander of the British fleet at the Battle of Vigo Bay during the early years of the War of the Spanish Succession. During that entanglement, he led his navy to victory in that the Spanish fleet was either captured or destroyed, however they had already unloaded the majority of the silver and other goods Rooke was hoping to get his hands on.
