This is an original 1927 halftone print of the commune of Foix which is located in the Ariège department in southwestern France. This commune lies south of Toulouse and is very near to the border of Spain and Andorra. The structure at the top of the hill is the Château de Foix which is a castle and was built on an older 7th century fortification in 987 AD.
