This is an original 1928 color tipped-in print of a "Corona, Lent Doll (Isernia), and a Harness Decoration and Horsehair Switch to keep away both Flies and The Evil Eye.

The "Corona" is an Abruzzi gift given on special occasions an is meant to bring good luck. They have been blessed by a priest, and made of sugar. When they are hung on grave stones and dissolve, it is believed that the dead have eaten them.

The Lent Doll is said to have seven feathers for legs, and one feather is removed on each Sunday during Lent.

This 83+ year old Item is rated Near Mint / Very Fine+. Light aging throughout. No creases. No natural defects. No surface rub. No tears. No water damage. The mounting board around the print does have some slight wrinkling but the print itself has none and is in very fine condition.
